I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high,
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving.
Then I was young and unafraid
When dreams were made and used,
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung,
No wine untasted.
But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
As they turn your dreams to shame.
And still I dream he'll come to me
And we will live our lives together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms
We cannot weather...

Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle has checked out of the London clinic where she was treated for exhaustion, her brother says.
"She's much happier," Gerry Boyle tells Britain's GMTV. "She seems much more like herself. I think things are becoming clearer now and she's much more content. I believe she's in the middle of London, in a flat in London."
After finishing second to dance troupe Diversity on the show's Saturday finale, an emotionally drained Susan Boyle entered London's Priory clinic for "rest and recovery," Talent producers said.
Since her admittance, the singing sensation has realized her second-place finish "wasn't the end" of her career, according to her brother. "Things are becoming clearer for her now," Gerry Boyle says. "She's now beginning to believe that 'yes, indeed, I will be a singer.'"
Susan Boyle already has one gig lined up stateside. Her brother confirmed reports that Boyle has been invited to sing for President Obama.
"I was on radio in America and got it straight from the horse's mouth that [they] want her to sing at the White House," he says. "What a wonderful thing."
“They that mistake life's accessories for life itself are like them that go too fast in a maze: their very haste confuses them”

“The man of character, sensitive to the meaning of what he is doing, will know how to discover the ethical paths in the maze of possible behavior.”

Real obstacles don't take you in circles. They can be overcome. Invented ones are like a maze.

Brisbane has welcomed more than 500 new Australian citizens who helped launch Queensland Week celebrations on Saturday morning.
Friends and family packed out South Bank's Suncorp Piazza as the state's newest citizens made a pledge of commitment to their newly-adopted state and nation.
Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman told ABC Radio it was cause for a double celebration.
"I think it's particularly special for people that they're not only becoming Australian citizens but they're doing it on Queensland's special day.
"(They are) joining a great state and a fantastic city and I think that's something to be particularly excited about."
Saturday is Queensland Day, which commemorates Queen Victoria's signing of Letters Patent separating Queensland from the colony of New South Wales 150 years ago in 1859.
This year's Queensland Week celebrations over the Queen's Birthday weekend include the state's biggest variety show and a free barbecue.
The variety show, featuring 2,500 state school students, will be held on Saturday night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre while on Sunday, thousands are expected to pack out the Queensland Week Big BBQ at Roma Street Parklands.
Sunday's celebrations will also feature performances from Dora the Explorer, inflatable mazes, face painting, balloon artists, displays and workshops from 10.30am (AEST) to 3.30pm (AEST).
Also part of the Q150 program will be a free night of comedy at the Suncorp Piazza on Sunday night from 7.30pm (AEST).
Comedy Fix will bring together comedians, including lyrical trio Tripod, Charlie Pickering and Queensland's own The Kransky Sisters, for a night of stand-up and satire.
The 2009 Suncorp Queenslanders of the Year will be announced on June 9 followed by the 2009 Queensland Greats Awards two days later.

Handheld Games is bringing 1984 classic Marble Madness to the iPhone, in association with Midway.
True to the original, it’ll feature six levels of mazes that you have to navigate through to find the exit within a time limit. Aside from the standard oldie mode, there will also be a handful of new modes on offer, plus the option to use revamped visuals.
The new modes are based on various different types of race, including ‘Targets’ and ‘Flag’, where you have to roll over targets and weave between flags respectively. We don’t have any screenshots to show you at the moment, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as any additional information shows up.
Handheld games was responsible for the iPhone sports game TouchSports Tennis ’09, and is working on a handful of other games due for release in the coming months including the shooter Lock ‘n Load.
These op art style drawings MAZES are simply AWESOME.
